Paranormal
Those who do wrong to Erika or her children, especially Eric, are cursed for something bad to happen to them as a result. There is no spell or anything placed on the perpetrators, the bad events just happen to them. Eric notes many instances where very bad things have happened to anyone who does him harm.
All of Erika's children had abnormally uncomfortable dreams a few weeks prior to her departure.
Eric was resting in bed and felt a push on left hip.
Friday, June 5th: Leo was told by his deceased wife Erika to change the dog water, clean the table, shave, etc. Leo never does these things on his own.
Saturday, June 5th: Erika's best  friend Verna Hill got ill and could not attend the funeral. After Erika's funeral, there was the most beautiful sunset & glowing moon like never seen before.
Tuesday, June 8th: Shannon and family were playing a video game that included a cemetery scene. When they approached the cemetery, they saw a coffin the same style and color as Erika's and immediately a family picture fell down forwardly near the TV. The picture frame was constructed in a way that it is impossible for it to fall forward on its own, but it did.
Friday, June 26: Eric walked by pictures of mom and two fell down, but he did not touch or brush them.
Friday, July 17th at 10:50pm: Eric was home alone and staring at the couch his mother passed away on. He asked her to show some sign of her being in a non-scary manner. Immediately, there was a star-like light just above the couch where Erika passed. Eric had ensured he was not seeing things or delusional prior to asking for this.
Week of Saturday, October 31: Eric went to Erika's gravesite on Halloween night during a full moon to see if there was anything paranormal there. Upon driving up, there were to starving pure black dogs at Erika's headstone.
Wednesday, early morning, November 18 (the day after Erika's 70th birthday): Eric was just about to wake up for the morning when he felt someone touching or poking his body all over. Eric reached out and grabbed a ghost's hand. This surprised the ghost, but the ghost disappeared before Eric opened his eyes to look. A few hours later, a ghost pulled on Rickie's clothes in the bathroom. Both Eric and Rickie describe the events as absolutely real.
Around September 1, 2010, Lee saw Erika in his dreams several times and describes it as real.
